Privacy Policy

Invico is a local-first invoice generator. Your invoices, clients, and settings live only in your browser — we never see them, store them on a server, or transmit them anywhere. If you choose to subscribe to product update emails, your name and email are kept separately so we can notify you when new features ship. This policy explains exactly how we handle your data.

Your Data Stays On Your Device

The core of Invico is simple: everything you create stays in your browser. No account. No server. No sync. Your invoices and client data exist nowhere but your device.

What We Collect

We do not collect your invoice data, client information, or any content you create in Invico. The app runs entirely in your browser.

The hosting provider that serves our website may record basic server logs: your IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp. This is standard for static hosting and we have no control over or access to detailed user tracking.

Product Updates Email (Optional)

Invico offers an optional email signup so you can be notified when new features ship. If you fill in the subscribe form on the landing page or in Settings → About, we collect only your name and email address, along with your explicit consent to be contacted.

Your name and email are stored securely and used solely to send occasional product update emails. We do not sell or share this information, and we do not use it for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email we send or by contacting us at hi@useinvico.com.

Subscribing is entirely optional. Invico's core features work without it, and nothing about your invoice or client data is shared with the subscription system.

How Your Data Is Stored

Your data lives in IndexedDB — a database built directly into your browser. It is tied to your browser profile and persists until you clear your browser data or remove it manually from Settings.

If you clear your browser cache, cookies, or site data, everything in Invico will be deleted. Regularly export backups to avoid losing your work.

Sharing & Third Parties

We don't share your invoices, clients, or any data you create in Invico, because that data never leaves your device.

Two third parties may see basic technical information about visits to the marketing site: our hosting provider, which records standard server logs (IP, browser, requested page, timestamp), and Umami Cloud (umami.is), which processes the anonymous analytics described in the section above. Neither has access to anything you create inside the Invico app.

Cookies & Analytics

We use Umami, a privacy-respecting analytics tool, to understand how the marketing site is used in aggregate. Umami does not set cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect any personally identifiable information.

The aggregate, anonymous data Umami records is limited to: page views, the referring website, your country (derived from your IP address, which is not stored), and basic device information such as browser, operating system, and screen size. This data is never linked to a specific person and is not shared with any third party.

Analytics only run on the public marketing pages. Once you open the Invico app itself, no analytics or tracking of any kind runs while you create invoices or manage clients.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any other tracking technology. If we ever introduce additional analytics, this policy will be updated.

Your Rights & Control

You have complete control over your data. You can export your invoices and clients as a JSON file from Settings at any time. You can re-import that file into another browser or device. You can also clear everything directly from Settings.

Children

Invico is not directed to children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not use this service.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be noted.
